For information security training shortfalls – 22 July 2009
The FSA have recently fined two members of the HSBC group over £3m for failing to adequately train their staff in data protection requirements (see link below).
This is consistent with an FSA report in 2006 that showed even the largest firms were not committing sufficient resources to training or other measures required in this field of increasing importance.
We know that committing your valuable internal resources to the task of creating and implementing a training programme is not where your strategy is focussed, but not having a training programme leaves the business vulnerable to fines of this kind – stratospheric.
We, however, can provide you with just the kind of full service training program which won’t cost the earth, or your business. It will mean that you have a fully visible, immediately operational and auditable training programme. Designed to keep even the harshest of regulators happy, we would be only too happy to help you avoid incurring penalties which wipe profit straight off your profit and loss account.
You can bet the cost of HSBC training their staffs now looks cheap!!
