BBinSync.co.uk is now accepting registrations for its exciting new service. BBinSync is a simple piece of software that enables non-corporate BlackBerry users to keep their BlackBerry and email in sync. It means that users can ensure their calendar, contacts and email are always up to date from whichever device they are using.
For years employees of large firms have loved their BlackBerries, partly because they could stay in sync with their office PC or Laptop. When they sent an email from one, the other machine was also updated; and if they added an appointment to their BlackBerry whilst they were out and about it showed up on their office PC calendar.
To do this however, required expensive servers. Many BlackBerry users who were in small firms, or who were freelancers or consumers, did not have this option. They still loved their BlackBerry but they weren’t getting the most out of it.
So some specialist firms started to offer 'synchronisation' services to smaller users. But often these were relatively expensive (£30+ per month) and were a hassle to set-up. For example, the user had to move their email account to the specialist firm and also install fiddly software.
So Parallel54 Software has come up with BBinSync – a simple piece of downloadable software. It costs just £50 per year (no monthly fee) and has a 30 day trial period. It allows the user to always be in sync.
• Emails stay in sync — emails deleted on the BlackBerry are deleted on the PC too.
• Calendars stay in sync — appointments made on one device will also appear on the other.
• Contacts stay in sync — no more remembering to re-type contacts on the return from a meeting.
• Data is more secure — synchronisation means the phone is constantly backed up, if the phone is lost the data is not.
• Synchronisation happens via the phone network — no need to connect to the PC.
• Support for Macs running Entourage coming soon.
