SWANSEA Museum is still very much open for business despite ongoing works at the attraction.
Museum bosses say works to install a lift for the disabled at the Victoria Road building should be complete by November and are urging the public to come along in the meantime to see what's available there.
Visitors can still view the popular crime and punishment exhibition as well as the local archaeology display and the ancient Egyptian mummy.
The Museum Collection Centre at Landore is also still open every Wednesday from 10am to 4pm.
A small section of the Museum's Glamorgan and Ynysmedyw pottery collection has been temporarily relocated to the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery while the works take place.
All items transferred were selected with the help of local Welsh ceramics expert Helen Hallesy and can be seen at the gallery until the end of October.
Cllr Graham Thomas, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, said: "Building work has been going well and we're still getting lots of visitors to the Museum.
"The installation of the lift is a welcome addition to the facilities at the museum and will improve access for all.
"Swansea Museum offers a fascinating peek into local history as well as a range of exhibitions and displays that are entertaining and informative for people of all ages."
