Snowboarding Zone has just released a new section of their website that has all of the basics on Snowboarding Gear. This is part of a new community website that is all about Snowboarding Gear. Members and non-members can visit this Snowboarding Gear page on the Snowboarding Zone website for free at: http://snowboardingzone.org/
Here is an excerpt from the new Snowboarding Gear information webpage:
"Obviously, you will need a snowboard. Snowboards can either be cheap or expensive. It all depends on what you are looking for in a board and what type of brand you would like to own. The cheapest way to go, especially if you are looking for a more expensive brand of board, is to purchase a used board. This will help you to save money without sacrificing quality in the board. If you don’t like the idea of purchasing a used board, then plan on spending at least a couple of hundred dollars on some of the cheaper boards.
To help protect your board, which can be an investment because of the price, you will want to purchase a snowboard bag. This will help to protect your board whenever it is not in use and while it is being transported. It allows you to easily carry the board, as the bags have handles.
You also need bindings. This is what helps you, or at least your feet, to get connected to the board. Bindings are available for women, children and men. They can come in different forms, such as plastic, metal, carbon, step-in, toe strapped and so on. It really just depends on personal preference - what you prefer, what is more comfortable for you to wear and what best helps you maneuver your board."
