El Paso County high school graduates attending El Paso County colleges may be eligible for up to $1,500 in student loan forgiveness from College Invest, Colorado's not-for-profit higher education financing resource.
The CollegeInvest Graduation Reward Program is a partnership between the City of Colorado Springs, El Paso County and CollegeInvest, a division of the Colorado Department of Higher Education.
"Assistance is available for El Paso County graduates who qualify," said Janet Gullickson of CollegeInvest. "Signing up to participate in the program is easy and $1,500 in loan forgiveness could eliminate an entire year of student loan payments."
The amount of loan forgiveness depends on the type of degree the student is pursuing, ranging from $300 for a vocational certificate to $1,500 for a bachelor's degree.
