Sunnyvale, CA, — DRC Computer Corporation (DRC), the leading innovator of dynamically reconfigurable coprocessors, will today demonstrate several massively accelerated applications on the DRC Accelium coprocessor. These will be demonstrated at the Linley Tech Processor Conference as a co-exhibitor with the HyperTransport Consortium (HTC).
DRC will demonstrate the following products and applications:
- The DRC Accelium™ AC2020 socketed, streaming coprocessor in a 2-way 2U appliance configuration
- Simultaneous high bandwidth, dual HyperTransport™
- Appliances running Linux and Windows applications
- 30 times acceleration of an advanced data security and confidentiality application based on the patented Security First Corp. information dispersal algorithm
- 1,000 times acceleration of an image processing system versus software only
- Advanced convolution algorithm running at 100 times a CPU version
- All applications utilize the DRC Milano™ suite – the most complete coprocessor integration environment
- Sub-second dynamic application switching using Runtime Reconfiguration
The DRC Accelium coprocessor is an x86 socketed device that utilizes high capacity FPGAs. It integrates this with up to 6 high performance memory controllers, 4 of which control independent, high density memory banks on the coprocessor, resulting in memory access bandwidth in the 16GB/s range vs 6 GB/s for a CPU.
