“The firm plans to distinguish itself by offering cost-effective senior-level counseling services that are clear, concise, and compelling,”
Jones said CJ&A PR strives to be recognized as one of the premier firms handling communications for crisis matters and situations where individuals find themselves under attack. Jones himself gained prominence while handling media relations for celebrity Anna Nicole Smith’s funeral and other newsworthy issues that captured national attention.
CJ&A PR also offers comprehensive interview and presentation training programs to teach executives how to structure and deliver key messages in any forum and how to improve one’s public speaking performance. Jones has conducted a variety of seminars for businesses and organizations including the National Association of Black Mayors, the University of Miami School of Law, Leadership Miami, and the Miami Fellows Initiative.
“The ability to speak effectively about your service, product or position is the cornerstone of any public relations campaign,” said Jones who spent 10 years in front of the camera as a broadcast journalist. “It is the only way to get the desired response from your audience. CJ&A PR is one of the few firms offering individualized programs that can guide you every step of the way, whether you are being interviewed on television, leading a professional seminar, or trying to persuade an adversarial group to see things your way.”
Before opening his own firm, Jones was Vice President of Client Services for Wragg & Casas Public Relations, where his professional accomplishments included publicizing the national expansion of Florida’s largest corporate law firm; managing media relations for the Chinese drywall litigation; and creating events to heighten awareness for one of the nation’s largest retail banks.
Among his numerous honors, Jones received the Black Alumnus of the Year Award from the University of South Carolina; named “Trendsetter in Public Relations & Marketing” by Florida Trend magazine; “Up & Comer in Public Relations” by the South Florida Business Journal; and a Gold Medal Award Winner by Miami Today.
Jones is on the board of directors for South Florida After-School All-Stars and the HIV Education and Law Project, Inc. He was recently President-elect of the Brickell Area Association.
A former journalist, Jones was a news reporter for WFTV-TV in Orlando, Fla., WNCT-TV Greenville, N.C. and WOLO-TV in Columbia, S.C. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism & Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina in 1991.
