Following a five year redesign the galleries will open on 18 September 2009, telling the story of world
ceramics with 3000 objects on display from the earliest Chinese pottery to contemporary ceramic art.
To celebrate the redisplay the V&A Shop is showcasing a range of ceramics that echo the diversity of the V&A’s
collections. A new publication Masterpieces of World Ceramics edited by Reino Liefkes and Hilary Young
accompanies the new galleries (available now).
