CARLSBAD, CA – Life’s unpredictability steered singer/songwriter Steven Ybarra in a completely different direction, altering the course of his life…a course that just led him to his first San Diego Music Award as a solo artist. After overcoming serious illness, Steven spent the last few years working hard to re-establish himself as a full-time solo artist, generating a full- time touring schedule, and producing his first solo CD, Love Love Love.
This is Steven’s second award as a solo artist, and it will sit nicely on the shelf next to his Platinum Prize Award from the San Diego Songwriter’s Guild for his mix of cross-genre, contemporary songs.
“I am still in shock,” states Ybarra, “what a wonderful blessing to receive this award—it was such a talented group of nominees.” Steven is currently working on his second CD, so stay tuned…he’s just getting started.
