Members of a Barcode Company in a room full of science professionals, researchers, and clinicians turned into an interesting combination of local professionals this past Thursday. Although a seemingly strange place for BRS to be, the professionals found some common ground with the local science professionals concerning RFID.
So once again, the theme of the afternoon turned out to be: RFID technology. Science Professionals who attended the conference were aware of the various benefits RFID technology could bring, but most have still yet to implement RFID in their labs. BRS, a rising RFID reseller, became a sort of expert at the function. Apparently VWR, the host of the Bio-Association Meeting, provides products and equipment for all these science professionals, and were heading in the direction of RFID. However that advancement is still a work in progress. Numerous scientists have been requesting the use of RFID to track their research and equipment from VWR, but lacked the accurate knowledge about RFID.
As a result, BRS quickly fit into the scene by extending past RFID facts and advice. The sooner researchers can use RFID, the sooner advancements in science can occur. The goal for BRS is to offer their expertise to VWR and local scientists to improve the world of science and research. Obviously this is not an overnight project. So some time soon we should hope to hear the progress between BRS, Tennessee Bio Association members, and RFID Technology.
