About Mark D. Forrestal, MD, FACPh

· A B.A. from Yale University and a M.D. from Duke University
· A general surgery residency at N.Y. Hospital-Cornell, and a vascular fellowship at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital
· He was the first fellowship trained vascular surgeon in Central Florida  
· A  founder and former head of the Central Florida Wound Care Center
· A former president of the Florida Vascular Society, and a representative of the Florida Vascular Society to the Carrier Advisory Committee (which deals with Medicare issues)
· He is a member of the Society for Vascular Society, Southern Association of Vascular Surgery, International Society of Vascular Surgery, the American College of Phlebology and the Society of Vascular Ultrasound
·  Board Certified in the specialty of phlebology by the American Board of Phlebology
