EMCO Software, a provider of software solutions for computer network management, announced today the availability of the new version of OS License Modifier, freeware tool targeted at remote management of the Windows registration information on computers in WAN/LAN. This tool can help system administrators to check and modify OS registration information, including registered owner and registered organization entries, remotely on all computers in the network.
"OS License Modifier is, first of all, a network utility. It is able to get Windows registration information from remote PCs and display it on screen to let administrators decide if it's correct or should be changed. If required, registration information can be modified remotely on multiple PCs simultaneously. This is much more effective than making changes in Windows registry manually on every PC. OS License Modifier can save hours of work of system administrator for updating of owner and company information on computers in the network", said Thorarin Oskarsson, CEO at EMCO Software.
OS License Modifier v2 has a new network engine that can extract information about the network structure directly from the Active Directory to improve network scanning performance. Additional performance advantage is reached thanks to improved execution module that can launch hundreds network operations in parallel to guarantee optimized execution speed. This version also adds an ability to create custom groups of computers and execute operations with these groups.

Now administrators can modify registered company and registered owner information separately on selected computers. For example, they can update company name on all PCs in the network, keeping owner information unchanged. Availability
EMCO OS License Modifier is available as a fully-functional freeware. It can run under Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2008, 2003 and 2000 both x86 and x64 platforms.
