EMCO Software, a provider of software solutions for computer network management, announced today the new release of MoveOnBoot utility. MoveOnBoot is a free tool that is able to delete, move or replace locked files and folders on the Windows platform. It can be used not only by system administrators, but also by end-users to troubleshoot problems with locked resources, including replacing of locked system files, deleting of resources locked by other application and in many other cases.
"This is a second major release of MoveOnBoot utility, but the first one, which is based on the new product platform. A new modern visual interface and a strong focus on usability are the core values of the new platform from EMCO. While this platform was developed for the needs of enterprise-level solutions, it was decided to use it for freeware tools as well. So now MoveOnBoot users can benefit from advantages of the new interface and features", said Thorarin Oskarsson, CEO at EMCO Software.
"New MoveOnBoot is a brand-new tool that has dozens of large and small improvements and new features. It follows the same concept as the previous version - pick the locked resources and select operations to be executed with them on the next reboot, but wrapping it with a new elegant visual interface and usability features", said Emil Thor Jonsson, CTO at EMCO Software.
The new version of MoveOnBoot simplifies management of locked file system resources even for inexperienced users by providing step-by-step wizard interface. Detailed logging is another new feature that can help to find the reason and resolve issues with locked files and folders.
Availability
EMCO MoveOnBoot is available as a fully-functional freeware. It can run under Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2008, 2003 and 2000 both x86 and x64 platforms.
