Five million viewers tuned in for the launch of ‘Mistresses’
As an open, inclusive agency with a truly diverse range of models on their books, Models Direct are always able to provide clients with exactly what they are looking for. So when the BBC contacted an MD agent to find two infant girls for their show, they were delighted with the wide selection of looks put forward and had soon chosen the perfect baby actors for their project.
The proud mother of the successful twins, Julie from Belvedere in Kent, was delighted when she received a call saying that her girls had been selected to work on the BBC hit series. Gracie and Evie had been signed to the agency for just one month when they were invited to share the role of baby Elsa, daughter of Siobhan, played by actress Ola Brady.
Gracie and Evie were soon on the set in Bristol where they were given full star treatment. They enjoyed luxurious stays at the Bristol Marriot Royal Hotel and chauffeur service whenever they were needed at the studio for filming.
Models for this kind of assignment often need an ‘everyday’
If you or someone you know is interested in acting but never went to drama school, it may be worth pursuing modelling or working as an ‘extra’ as a starting point for a career in entertainment – or maybe just as a fun hobby, with payment as a bonus!
Mum Julie said that the twins have really enjoyed their experience with Models Direct so far. “We’ve just finished filming the first two episodes of Mistresses Series 2 and the twins loved it!” she says.“Everyone made them feel very at home and they really enjoyed all the attention and fuss that was made of them. We look forward to doing the rest of the series.”
