Oakland County’s Adventure Bootcamps Celebrate National Self Improvement Month

September is a Perfect Time to Start a Fitness Self Improvement Program

PRLog - Sep. 14, 2009 - NORTHVILLE, Mich. – Even though National Self Improvement Month is already half over, there’s plenty of time for the 28.9 percent of Michigan residents considered obese by the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention to get started on a fitness self improvement program with the Oakland County Adventure Bootcamps.

“Getting started on your fitness improvement program can make a big difference in your body image right before the holidays” said Dave Krainiak, program director and head coach for Oakland County’s Adventure Bootcamps. “We make it really easy for beginners to get started in our program and show quick results.”

Bootcamps are currently being scheduled across Oakland County, including Northville, Royal Oak and Rochester Hills. The next Southern Oakland County bootcamps start on October 19 at Oakpointe Church in Novi and spots are already going fast. The Women’s Only Bootcamp runs from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. daily and is only $299 for five days a week or $189 for only three days.

“That averages out to less than $15 per session,” Krainiak said. “Getting a personal trainer at a local gym can easily cost you $75 or more per session. We also offer a very fun alternative to the boring exercise routine.”

Participants at the bootcamp remark that they have seen stronger results from the program, even compared to previous workout routines with personal trainers. Many see a 5-12 pound weight loss, 3 to 5 percent decrease in overall body fat, a 1 to 3 inch decrease in the midsection along with increased endurance and energy.

“Signing up for our next adventure bootcamp is an excellent way to make important fitness progress during National Self Improvement Month,” Krainiak said. “It not only helps physical endurance, energy levels, the love life with your partner and even a better body image but it also helps build self esteem.”

Bootcamp participants also receive a one hour nutrition seminar, before/after fitness assessments and a free t-shirt as part of the program. Gift certificates are also available for perfect upcoming holiday gifts for loved ones.
