Sep. 14, 2009 - Phoenix, AZ: Bridging AZ Furniture Bank, Avnet, Inc. and IKEA join forces to encourage their employees and customers, respectively, to donate new pillows to Bridging AZ Furniture Bank based in Mesa, AZ. Avnet’
s employee community outreach group in Phoenix, Avnet Cares Arizona, is holding a two-week long pillow drive in their five valley locations. Each location will have a designated bin for employees to drop off their donated pillows. The local IKEA store will also be participating in the pillow drive at its Tempe location asking their customers to donate a pillow with their purchase.
“Bridging AZ is excited to partner with Avnet and IKEA to support the first Avnet Cares pillow drive. We are hoping to collect 300 new pillows to give to social service agencies who will distribute them. It doesn't matter who you are - at the end of the day dreams are always sweeter with a pillow of your very own,” says Jim Piscopo, Founder, Bridging AZ.
