Ms. Bass will present with over 40 other experts from around the world at the conference in Syracuse, NY. Parents, Teachers, Professors, Psychotherapists, Social Workers and the general public are encouraged to attend seminars and panel discussions on how to change and shape children's behavior, decrease problems and conflict, increase positive self esteem, decrease need and reliance upon psychotropic medications, increase proper nutrition, understand why breast feeding is important, understand why psychotropic drugs have poorer outcomes in the long term when compared to counseling and other psycho-social interventions, understand what role chiropractors are trying to play in mental health, and understand how the media shapes our thoughts and ideas.
Presentation will also include research evaluating non-medication approaches for families and teachers dealing with children exhibiting challenging behaviors, commonly diagnosed as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Autism, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, or Bipolar Disorder. It is the role of each individual to self educate themselves and to be critical of the information they are told. ICSPP hopes each attendant will ask questions and share varying viewpoints.
The International Center for the Study of Psychiatry and Psychology (ICSPP) is a nonprofit (503c) research and educational network whose focus is the critical study of the mental health movement.
