Arnie the Armadillo
In a bid to make the somewhat tedious subject of business insurance slightly more exciting, online based Kingsbridge Professional Solutions (KPSol) have embarked on an unusual journey. When thinking of personal insurance providers, the first companies that spring to mind are Churchill, Direct line, and Compare the Market, purely because of the dog, the phone and the meerkat. When you think of business insurance, Kingsbridge want you to remember the armadillo.
Arnie Armadillo has been created to brighten up the KPSol website, and to lead a marketing campaign through a series of videos in which he stars. The first video, released on the 27th August 2009, sees Arnie in a public service announcement style video with a Tom and Jerry (or Itchy and Scratchy) theme. Whilst there is no over-the-top violence, as in the aforementioned, there is certainly plenty of comic value in watching an armadillo sliding down the banisters of a thirteen story building unable to stop!
Kingsbridge set up the website www.kpsol.co.uk in July 2007 in an effort to provide great value insurance to professional freelancer consultants and contractors working both in a sole trader and limited company set-up. Despite the young age of the website in comparison to other providers in the market, the product Kingsbridge offer provides more cover at better value than any of its competitors. In addition to this, Kingsbridge has a team of advisors with excellent industry knowledge having dealt in this arena, prior to its online guise, for over ten years.
An internal web development team employed from August last year has built the current bespoke website and quoting system and has spent the second quarter of 2009 designing and building the new look website which is being launched alongside the armadillo. Because of the flexibility of an in-house team, the quote and buying process has been adapted to suit Kingsbridge’
