FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 14, 2009 -
In preparations for the 2009 SEA Games Laos, the Lao Football Federation, Lao National Television, and Crossfire Co. Ltd, are proud to announce the 2009 4-Nations Football Tournament.  The national teams from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Laos are playing an AFC sanctioned tournament, to promote the SEA Games theme of Generosity, Amity, and a Healthy Lifestyle in live television broadcasts throughout the pan-Asian region.

The 2009 4-Nations Football Tournament is the first official tournament held at the new National Sports Complex in Vientiane Capital.  The tournament begins on October 2, with Thailand taking on Malaysia, and Laos playing Vietnam.  Sunday, October 4th, is the second match day, with the first game featuring Vietnam and Malaysia, and Laos playing Thailand.  The last day of the tournament, October 6, in first game, Laos takes on Malaysia, and Vietnam challenges Thailand.   Game times for the first match are at 4:30 pm and the second match of the day starts at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are value priced at 40,000 Kip for general admission, and 80,000 Kip for VIP seating.  Tournament tickets are priced so everyone can attend the matches and support the Lao National Football Team.  One ticket is good for both games of the day, for a full day of football entertainment.

The Lao Football Federation’s goal for this tournament is to help prepare the SEA Games Committee, Lao National Television, and the National Stadium support workers to train in a live tournament before the Sea Games.  To help support this effort, the Lao Football Federation appointed Crossfire to manage the event.  Crossfire has linked services with Total Sports Asia, an international media company, to bring in experts from around the world to offer training to the SEA Games personnel, and to Lao National Television.

Lao National Television benefits by learning international broadcast techniques to build capacity, and to make this broadcast meet the highest international quality standards.  Lao National Television is providing the broadcast feed to Total Sports Asia for distribution to Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Laos and other countries.  TSA’s work with Lao National Television will make certain the 4-Nation Football Tournament has the highest international production value, and will train the staff in preparations for the SEA Games broadcasts.

Mr. Thiphakhan Vilavanh, a director of Crossfire, recently said, “The 2009 4-Nations Football Tournament is a defining moment in the history of Laos, by demonstrating to our international audience that Lao can provide international quality events.  We are demonstrating, as Lao people, that we have the will power and confidence to bring our close neighbors to play in this beautiful new stadium, which is a monument to the new future of Laos.”

Pillars of the business community are supporting this event: Beerlao, TIGO, Don Chan Palace, and CPAC Monier (Laos). Because this is an important event, these companies feel honored to stand up and support the Lao Football Federation, the Lao National Football Team, the SEA Games Committee, and the Lao people.  With these notable business leaders as supporters, the 2009 4-Nations Football Tournament will surely be a success.
