Dawna Lee Heising and John Alsedek of Eye on Entertainment on Time Warner Cable conducted interviews on the red carpet for the 2009 Primetime Creative Arts EMMY Awards at the NOKIA Theatre on Saturday, September 12.  E! Entertainment Television will air the awards show as a two-hour special on Friday, Sept. 18, at 1:00 p.m. (ET/PT).   Two-time Primetime Emmy® Award winner Kathy Griffin (My Life on the D-List) was the host, Carole Propp was the coordinating producer, Chris Donovan was the director and Tony DeSena was the co-producer.

Gabrielle Anwar (Burn Notice), Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live), Carol Burnett, Louis C.K. (Saturday Night Live), Christian Clemenson (Boston Legal), Ted Danson (Damages), Lisa Edelstein (House), Donald Faison (Scrubs), Jerry Ferrara (Entourage), Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory), Penn Jillette (Penn & Teller Bull$*it), John Michael Higgins (Kath & Kim), Nigel Lythgoe (So You Think You Can Dance), Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy), Kathryn Morris (Cold Case), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Sharon Osbourne (America's Got Talent), Andrea Roth (Rescue Me), Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos), Elaine Stritch (30 Rock), Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy), Jimmy Smits (Dexter), Ashley Tisdale (Suite Life on Deck), and Callie Thorne (Rescue Me) served as presenters for the 2009 Creative Arts Emmy® Awards.   The executive producers were Lee Miller and Steve Venezia, and Spike Jones, Jr., was the producer of the 2009 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

The 2009 Creative Arts Emmy Awards awarded 82 Emmys, including:

•   Outstanding Choreography: Rob Ashford, Choreographer, 81st Annual Academy Awards

Primetime Emmy Award winner Elaine Stritch presented the prestigious Governors Award to HBO's Sheila Nevins.
