Looking to the new Autumn Winter 2009 season, DeviDoll.com launches New York label AK Vintage in the UK. Exclusive to DeviDoll.com, AK Vintage offers limited edition, very unique jewellery for women and men, made only from upcycled, vintage materials.
Originally inspired by her great aunt’s collection of costume jewellery, founder/designer Anna Korte creates novel pieces from vintage charms and other collectibles including very creatively hand cut, reclaimed kid-glove leather. Though each collection is different and named after works of poetry by a chosen writer, there is a unifying edgy, modern, at times rock-and-roll feel to AK Vintage pieces. Anna's work is not just about designing each delectable piece but also about the creative process of hunting for vintage components, interpreting their relationship to current fashion and bringing an ornament to life.
