Thatcham-based language services company Prestige Network has launched a software localisation service designed to help companies who want their applications to be made available in different languages.
The service is intended for any business within the commercial sector – from dentistry, to tide timetables or broadcasting – through to the public sector – including central and local government departments, NHS, JobCentres, charities and the police.
It means that Prestige Network will translate the material, deal with any technical issues (such as source codes, formatting and presentation)

As well as working in up to 200 languages, the service takes into account the cultural aspect of language. The company has 5,000 linguists on its books, providing a full UK-wide service in all languages.
The service combines the skills of Shawn, one of the company’s founders (who pursued a career in IT after obtaining a degree in Control and Systems Engineering from Huddersfield University), with the company’s 18-year extensive experience as a language services and cultural consultancy provider to both the public and commercial sectors.
