FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 11, 2009 -
By looking at the most popular restaurant discounts and offers being used by its 9m users, the UK’s biggest voucher code website can reveal that the Toby Carvery is the most in demand restaurant meal in the West Midlands whilst Indian leads the way across the UK as a whole.

MyVoucherCodes.co.uk investigated the number of restaurant and eating out vouchers and discounts that had been used by its community and found that 63% of all discounts from the site used by people in the West Midlands were for Toby Carvery meals and that Midlanders were the most likely to use vouchers when going to a restaurant.

The second most popular region to use discounts and money off deals from the website was London and the South East with Indian being the most popular choice of food for 53% of people.

South Wales came in third place for the most use of restaurant discount codes and the most popular restaurant vouchers used related to pizza restaurants with 61%.

One statistic that surprised the MyVoucherCodes team was that Scotland was the place where people use restaurant money off deals the least and the most popular restaurant voucher used in the region is once again pizza related with 57%.

In England, the North East was the least likely region to use a restaurant code but the most popular restaurant voucher in this area was for Chinese food.

Speaking about the rise in demand for restaurant discounts and vouchers Managing Director of MyVoucherCodes, Mark Pearson said,

“I have never tried a carvery in the Midlands but it is clear that the restaurants must be doing something right as Brummies are using vouchers galore to ensure they get value for money and the best deal when eating out”.

He continued, “I would have thought that Scotland would be well up for saving money when going out so we were all a little bit shocked to see them in last place when it comes to using restaurant offers, but maybe they are all ditching the restaurants in place of healthier eating?”

Toby Carvery is currently the number one most searched for restaurant discount across MyVoucherCodes.co.uk with Pizza Express coming second, Strada third, Pizza Hut fourth and All Bar One in fifth place.
