Eight years ago, SendCare.com owner Alayna Setter mobilized students and local businesses in the Seattle area to assemble and ship 1,000 care packages to the 9/11 relief workers at Ground Zero in New York City. In response, they received many letters of thanks from Officer Grimes and other relief workers.
Since that time, SendCare.com has shipped thousands of custom care packages worldwide to deployed troops, college students and others to help friends and family stay connected.
On the eighth anniversary of 9/11, Ms. Setter sent a personal message to over 7,000 customers and over 1,200 Facebook fans, urging remembrance and community involvement. In that spirit, SendCare.com Care Packages is donating a percentage of each care package order placed on www.sendcare.com through September 13, 2009 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
