British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who at present ,according to Financial Soultions is lagging in polls only 9 short months away, says he sees environmentally-
With unemployment figures at a 10-year high, Brown is eager to expand trade with fast-emerging economies like China and India. Business Secretary Peter Mandelson, essentially Browns deputy, said the deals were negotiated during his trip to China this week.
In part of the deal, Britain's Carbon Trust, a government-endorsed body that gives advice on the move to a low-carbon economy, agreed a deal with China Energy Conservation Investment Corporation to facilitate sales of British "green" technology in China.
"(These agreements) will benefit British businesses while helping China meet its tough environment and energy efficiency targets," Mandelson's department said in a statement available to Financial Soultions.
China, the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases from human activity, says it must balance its ecological targets with sustaining growth that lifts millions out of poverty, but insist that western developed nations take the nose as the present situation is largely of their doing, Financial Soultions has heard.
