Sept. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- Pack-Smart Inc., the provider of modular finishing solutions for printers and print finishing companies, is gearing up for Print ’09, the largest print show in America, in Chicago on Sept. 11-16.

At Print ’09’s booth 3640, Pack-Smart Inc. will be featuring 100% networked servo technology, with product recipe functions, online diagnostics, on the fly calibration and over fifteen available modules that can be added at any time, depending on the customer’s job requirements.

Their new technology can feed, score, affix, personalize, apply cards, fold and glue and finally, digitally inspect quality of finished products. It’s capable of handling stock types varying  from light offset to 26 point board at speeds up to 30 000 per hour.

“Development of modular systems has always been our company’s forte. This new technology will allow our customers to take print finishing to a completely new dimension, says company’s President Derek Dlugosh-Ostap.

Pack-Smart Inc.’s emphasis is on technology that provides cost-effective and energy efficient solutions to direct mail, finishing and fulfillment media packaging industries.

Most finishing houses today rely on several different suppliers providing those specialty functionalities in order to complete one job. This often leads to unpredictable results in throughput, waste, quality, and of course profitability, according to Dlugosh-Ostap.

“The goal behind New Pack-Smart Integrated platform was to provide open concept with as much flexibility and expendability as possible,” Pack-Smart Inc. Technology Manager Peter Dlugosz explains. “Our clients can choose from standard four widths 20” to 54”. They can purchase a basic system and let their specialty department grow. Whenever a new application is presented to them, they simply add another module, and plug it in to the high speed governing control network.”

Pack-Smart Inc. representatives are looking forward to displaying their new technology at their booth at the Print '09 show and demonstrating its capabilities to attendees.
