The narrative film takes a page from current news headlines of interrogation and torture techniques and explores the effects on the perpetrators & victims of those atrocities.
In the film “Black Site” a group of everyday people get captured from their homes and business and are taken to a makeshift prison. They are soon uncovered as detainees in the “War of Terror.”
Santiago, Angel Dillemuth the newest recruit, struggles between doing his job and doing the right thing. As the atrocities and sadistic actions against the detainees mount, Santiago does his best to expose the truth.
The film was shot in New York and New Jersey area in the fall of 2008 and features some strong performances from a variety of New York based actors. “We are fortunate to live in the Big Apple, where we have access to diverse background of actors and crew members to choose from. It has help make our film feel as realistic as possible,” said the Greek born director, Nectarios Leonidas.
The film recently finished it’s post production process and is in the submission process to several international film festivals.
