desertECOLUTION TO host a Community Block Party FOR “GREEN THE BLOCK”
Desert Hot Springs residents launch effort to promote service, revitalize community, and encourage green economic development for the city of Desert Hot Springs
desertECOLUTION will host the Community Block Party as part of Green The Block service events on Friday, September 11th from 5pm to 9pm at the Abundant Life Church parking lot.  Green The Block is a campaign created by Green For All and the Hip Hop Caucus in partnership with the desertECOLUTION to educate and mobilize low-income communities and communities of color to ensure a voice and stake in the clean-energy economy.

In response to President Obama’s call to service through the United We Serve campaign, Green The Block issued a call to action for green community service projects in underserved communities on September 11th, the National Day of Service and Remembrance. desertECOLUTION’s event is one of many Green The Block events taking place across the country.
