PR Log (Press Release) –
Sep 10, 2009 – “Botox, the injectable elixir of youth, is the ultimate quick fix for the facial wrinkles and has become the mainstay of the anti aging cosmetic procedures in India, in a short span of time,” stated Dr. K.M. Kapoor, Senior Consultant, Cosmetic Surgery, Fortis Hospital Mohali. Dr. Kapoor, one of the top Botox experts of India, was speaking at a special ‘Botox Party’ organized today at the Central Club, Chandigarh in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, Mohali and Allergan, makers of Botox. Over 110 ladies of all age groups attended the event.
Talking about the emerging trend of ‘Age reversal’ cosmetic procedures, Dr. Kapoor said, “As is visible from the various campaigns launched by companies promoting skin care products, it is evident that the trend of Anti aging is catching fast with the women of today. Statistics reveal that 70% of people are willing to undergo cosmetic procedures due to which we are constantly acquiring latest technologies to give our patients youthful looking skin.” With cosmetic procedures becoming fast and simple and gaining popularity as ‘lunch break procedures’, Dr. Kapoor said, “Earlier, the entire concept of anti aging cosmetic surgery was related to surgical procedures like facelift for loose skin in those above 50 years. Till few years ago, there were no means to fix a thin lip or facial wrinkles until age related changes were too obvious. Now we have procedures like Botox and Fillers for this group of patients between 30-45 years, who want to keep looking young without first getting the ‘Old’ looks. The time taken for Botox is so minimal that one can get this treatment done during ones lunch break! These procedures are highly economical too as compared to other beauty parlour procedures with dubious benefits. In fact, the concept of Botox has become so popular that many amongst us are not even aware that it is a brand.” Amidst the clapping and cheers, some of the participants were treated with Botox for facial wrinkles followed by a lunch party. All the participants received special gift hampers of skin care products also. Giving details of another upcoming procedure, Auto Stem Cell Therapy, in his presentation, Dr. Kapoor said. “In this latest and technically advanced procedure, a piece of skin is taken to the lab, the cells of the patient extracted and grown over a period of 2 weeks. These auto stem cells are then injected into the various areas of the face, which create a younger looking skin. The procedure is comparatively safe and requires no incisions. However, it is important to get this procedure done only by a trained and experienced cosmetic surgeon.” “Now a days, stress induced lifestyles are taking toll on women. Even if you try to maintain a healthy life style, skin starts showing signs of aging. With the latest in cosmetic surgeries and non surgical procedures, we can now bring the fountain of youth right to your doorstep. These days, just like any other surgery or procedure which people undergo, cosmetic procedures are also being accepted socially in India. With short duration procedures and less painful methods, cosmetic procedures are here to stay.” With Indian women voting strongly in its favour, Botox party is a sure winner.
