Salt Creek Grille, Rumson, NJ, Announces New Menu

Salt Creek Grille, Rumson, New Jersey, is pleased to announce its new menu with more healthy options that are packed with flavor, not calories

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Sep 10, 2009 – Salt Creek Grille, Rumson, is pleased to announce its new menu with more healthy options that are packed with flavor, not calories.

The award-winning and popular American grille features an open kitchen with a signature Mesquite wood-fired grille that imparts a subtle flavor, naturally. A dining experience at the Salt Creek Grille http://www.saltcreekgrille.com/menus/rum/RUM_DINNER.pdf  - whether in the spacious dining room with comfortable booths and banquettes or in the inviting bar and lounge surrounded by panoramic views of the Navesink River – is a treat at any time of the year. Fans say that it is all of the above, complemented by the reasonable prices that has kept Salt Creek Grille at the top of their list for any occasion for the past 11 years.

Global Flavors - More Taste, Fewer Calories
Some traditional grille dishes have been given a new global twist and already have become popular items, such as the Guava Glazed Hand-Pulled Chicken Hero with Spicy BBQ Sauce, Chorizo Stuffing, Chipolte Mayonnaise, Watercress and served with a fresh Salt Creek Grille House Salad, $13.95 and the Grilled Miso-Glazed Atlantic Salmon served with Stir-Fried Farmer’s Market Vegetables, $18.95. Both offer exciting new flavors, yet fewer calories.

Executive Chef Bob Belt is constantly in search for new-to-the market food products that are healthy and tasty. Consider this new appetizer among the signature starters: Fresh Lump Crab and Avocado Quinoa, drizzled with Garlic-Rosemary Mojo, $16.95. Quinoa is a highly nutritious grain and is referred to as the “super grain of the future” because it contains eight essential amino acids. It is a small oval shape similar to rice and has been compared to couscous in flavor. The crab is all high-grade lump crabmeat.

All Natural Beef – Good for You and the Environment

Also on the new menu are the Brandt Beef selections. Brandt Beef is an all-natural family-raised, fed, processed, humanely- handled beef with no growth hormones or antibiotics so it is better for you and the environment. Two selections now featured on the Salt Creek Grille menu are Brandt Beef Top Sirloin Charred Rare Salad, served with Arugula, Cucumbers, Fennel, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Pepper Flakes, Croutons and topped with Toasted Cumin Vinaigrette, $14.95; or, for a heartier appetite there is the Brandt Beef Blue Cheese Crusted “Baseball-Cut” Top Sirloin, 10 ounce, topped with Caramelized Onions, Classic Demi-Glace, Garlic Butter and Wild Mushrooms and served with the house specialty of Bacon-Wrapped Potato Gratin, $29.95. Okay, so the blue cheese and potato gratin are not exactly calorie-free! The Salt Creek Grille had to show some allegiance to its American grille focus.

Mini-portions, Big Flavor, Fewer Calories

Other healthy options are the new mini-portions that Salt Creek Grille patrons are gobbling up. The mini-sized servings are easier on the waist - and the wallet – and are big on flavor. The Creek Sliders are three mini-burgers served on Sweet Rolls with Blue Cheese Aioli and Arugula ($15.95) and Mini Ahi Poke Tacos, crispy wontons stuffed with succulent chunks of ahi tuna, drizzled with a Wasabi, ginger and soy sauce ($15.95). Both are suitable for a great starter for one, or for sharing with others.

Vegetarian Options

For those looking for a meatless meal there are vegetarian options, such as the Portobello Cubano Sandwich -  Smoked Tomatoes, Jack Cheese, Balsamic Onions and Papaya Mustard served with the irresistible Salt Creek Garlic Fries ($11.95); and the Grilled Vegetable Stack - Portobello, Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella, Roasted Peppers, Eggplant, Smoky Tomato Jus and Balsamic Glaze over Jasmine Rice ($14.95).

Signature Favorites Remain

Naturally, you will still find grille signature dishes like fall-off-the-bone Mesquite Grilled Baby Back Ribs, or traditional Grille Burgers with lettuce, onion, tomato and fries. And the often-ordered Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp, Stuffed with Horseradish & Bacon‐Wrapped Chipotle Honey Sauce made the cut, too.

Specials Add Appetizing Value

While new additions have been added, patrons can still rely on the same great value at the Salt Creek Grille http://www.saltcreekgrille.com/calendars/rum/index.asp?. There are nightly specials Sunday through Thursday and $19.95 prix fixe dinner options with four entrée selections served with Chef Soup or Salt Creek Grille Salad or Caesar Salad and a special Chef’s dessert.
