Global Flavors - More Taste, Fewer Calories
Some traditional grille dishes have been given a new global twist and already have become popular items, such as the Guava Glazed Hand-Pulled Chicken Hero with Spicy BBQ Sauce, Chorizo Stuffing, Chipolte Mayonnaise, Watercress and served with a fresh Salt Creek Grille House Salad, $13.95 and the Grilled Miso-Glazed Atlantic Salmon served with Stir-Fried Farmer’s Market Vegetables, $18.95. Both offer exciting new flavors, yet fewer calories.
Executive Chef Bob Belt is constantly in search for new-to-the market food products that are healthy and tasty. Consider this new appetizer among the signature starters: Fresh Lump Crab and Avocado Quinoa, drizzled with Garlic-Rosemary Mojo, $16.95. Quinoa is a highly nutritious grain and is referred to as the “super grain of the future” because it contains eight essential amino acids. It is a small oval shape similar to rice and has been compared to couscous in flavor. The crab is all high-grade lump crabmeat.
All Natural Beef – Good for You and the Environment
Also on the new menu are the Brandt Beef selections. Brandt Beef is an all-natural family-raised, fed, processed, humanely- handled beef with no growth hormones or antibiotics so it is better for you and the environment. Two selections now featured on the Salt Creek Grille menu are Brandt Beef Top Sirloin Charred Rare Salad, served with Arugula, Cucumbers, Fennel, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Pepper Flakes, Croutons and topped with Toasted Cumin Vinaigrette, $14.95; or, for a heartier appetite there is the Brandt Beef Blue Cheese Crusted “Baseball-

Both are suitable for a great starter for one, or for sharing with others.
