Diaper Cakes by Becca began back in 2006 when founder, Becca White, was trying to come up with a fun gift to give he sister-in-law at her baby shower. A desire to have a gift that expressed her own joy and excitement for this new baby and a knack for things creative lead to her very first diaper cake. "I'd never even heard of a diaper cake", says White, "but a search on the internet for unique baby gifts lead me to a company that was making them. I saw them but realized it would be something fun to make myself....so I did. The feedback I received at that baby shower lead me to creating a website and promoting it on my own. Business grew and I gained a really loyal client base that really helped to get us recognized. Now we have clients all over the US, Canada, The Bahamas and Europe!!". Three years (and 900 celebrated babies) after that first baby shower, Diaper Cakes by Becca has become one of the leading diaper cake companies in the US.
Founder, Becca White, is thrilled to offer up a selection of great diaper cakes this month in honor of their significant milestone (including the diaper cake that started it all, The Safari Essentials diaper cake). Plus their pricing for their specialty, the custom diaper cake, is amazingly recession-friendly. "We love making these diaper cakes and we do not want to charge a crazy amount of money for them. We work within our clients' budget and always ask what their budget is so that no one goes outside of their comfort zone during these economically hard times. Even with a small budget we can do extraordinary things. We shop the sales, we use coupons and we utilize promotions to ensure our prices stay low for our clients! Plus we always send a photo before we ship the custom diaper cakes out. We usually hit the nail on the head the first time around but if our client is not thrilled with the results, we simply go back to the drawing board. We want them to LOVE giving our creations and we want them to come back for their next baby shower and we want them to tell all of their friends and family about us. Customer satisfaction is the most important principle with our business."
When asked about how she tries to stand apart from the other companies creating diaper cakes, White is quick to answer. "Our custom diaper cakes are what set us apart from the pack", she says. "We offer a truly custom gift on a budget that is very friendly to the times we live in. We shop specifically for each custom diaper cake and we want to know the stories behind this idea so that we can make sure we make this gift (or centerpiece)
When asked about her most unusual diaper cake, Becca White pauses and smiles. "We've done a wide range of diaper cakes in the last three years. We've done Pooh, Curious George, Milton the Monkey, Dr. Seuss and Horton and even Star Wars. We've had every color combination you can dream of. We've done princess and construction themes, sports teams and company logo cakes. However, the most unusual cake we've ever done was a Red Wagon/Sunflower/
Looking through the Diaper Cakes by Becca portfolio one can truly see the wide range of themes and colors schemes and nursery bedding sets they have incorporated over the years. Their craft, it seems, is evolving but one can't help but to imagine the smiles these creations bring to not just the recipient but the gift giver, too.
