For one evening, a quaint little town 30 mi north of Orlando, Fl will become the site of a delicious "east meets west" affair. MT DORA SUSHI restaurant will be hosting an opportunity to experience excellent Asian cuisine paired with fabulous wine from Washington state.
The five course menu will include sashimi tuna and avocado kobachi on crispy sesame wonton, savory Japanese pumpkin tempura, a sushi maki flight featuring tuna, salmon and yellowtail with caviar, ginger miso filet mignon skewers with seared diver scallop and a key lime dessert cup. Each course will be paired with a wine hand selected by the maker of award winning Wa based Kestrel winery .
Tokyo based chef and Mt Dora sushi owner Takashi Kobayashi will be using his 25 years of experience to bring the dinner to life. Co owner Janet Craig says "This is the launch of our new mission to make Mount Dora, Fl a foodie destination. We plan to do these dinners on a regular basis and collaborate with other wineries and restaurants to bring people who love food and wine to Mount Dora."
The dinner will be held at Mt Dora Sushi in Mount Dora, Fl on Thurs. Sept 24, 2009 at 7PM. Cost is $65/person.
