PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 09, 2009 -
– Xomba.com announced today that Hollywood stuntman Sam Hargrave will be the celebrity judge for their newest writing contest entitled, "Your Dream Job."

Sam Hargrave is notorious for his work as a stuntman and stunt coordinator on some of Hollywood's biggest films such as X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Pirates of the Caribbean II and III, and Underdog.  He has also done stunts for shows like "Heroes," "Entourage" and "Dexter" and doubled Zach Braff in the TV series "Scrubs."

"I am happy to say that I am living my dream," said Hargrave.  "I've always wanted to do stunts for films and television, and I'm doing exactly that.  I'm glad it is my job, but I've said it before that I'd probably do it for free."

Hargrave will be judging Xomba's writing contest in which Xomba members are asked to submit at least 150 words in response to the question "If you could choose any job in the world, what would it be and why?"

"In this economy we're seeing people who are thankful for any job," said Nick Veneris, the CEO of Xomba.com.  "Some are stuck in jobs they don't enjoy, while others are stuck with no job at all.  We want to hear about the jobs people dream they could have."

"I'm excited to be judging this contest," Hargrave said. "I hope that while people are writing they'll realize that in many ways, following your dream is possible."

Hargrave moved to Los Angeles after graduating college in 2004.  Initially he had no connections, no job offers and very little funds.

"I made it work," said Hargrave. "The most important thing is to recognize how important it is to market yourself and make connections.  Xomba is an excellent way for writers to market their work."

"Through this contest we're hoping to allow our users to use their imagination and envision a whole new life, a life of which they have always dreamed," said Veneris.  "For many of our members, writing is a dream job and Xomba.com is doing everything possible to help them live out their dreams."
