Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at Medina/Wildwood Lake KOA

The former Wildwood Lake Family Campground in Medina, NY will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday, Sept. 12 at 12:30 p.m. to celebrate its becoming the newest jewel in the Kampgrounds of America system.

Sept. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- WHAT:   The former Wildwood Lake Family Campground in Medina, NY will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday, Sept. 12 at 12:30 p.m. to celebrate its becoming the newest jewel in the Kampgrounds of America system.

The campground, now named the Medina/Wildwood Lake KOA, is taking afforable family camping to a new level in Orleans County by joining the Kampgrounds of America (KOA) system of more than 450 parks in North America, the world's largest system of family camping parks. Medina/Wildwood Lake KOA will gain international exposure through KOA.com, the world's most popular camping website, as well as the annual KOA directory.

WHY:   "We are very excited to be the newest KOA in New York State and the only KOA in Orleans County," said owner Robert Kaiser.  "We are part of the 450-campground Kampgrounds of America system, the largest system of campgrounds in North America, and that's pretty special."

According to Donald G. Bennett, Jr. Executive Administrator of Campground Owners of New York, “Camping is a part of the $53 billion dollar tourism industry in New York State, and is one of the critical components to keeping the state’s tourism industry a top revenue generator for the state. We’re pleased that Medina/Wildwood Lake KOA is continuing to be one of the best by joining the KOA system, and we congratulate Rob and Rachel on their new status.”
