deVere and Partners, the world’s largest independent international financial consultancy announced today the opening of its fifth office in Africa. The new office in Maputo, Mozambique responds to client demand and further strengthens the company’s growing presence in the region.
After years of colonial rule, civil war and famine, Mozambique recently made remarkable progress and quickly became a magnet for foreign investment. The leading sectors include industry, agribusiness and fishing, finance and tourism, and Great Britain is one of the principal foreign investors in the area. “We are delighted to establish a presence in the region”, said Craig Featherby, deVere and Partners’ Regional Manager for South Africa. “We strongly believe that this country has potential for success. The expat community in Maputo is increasing and it is important for us to be able to service these people from a local branch”.
The company already has a presence in Botswana, Cape Town,Durban and Uganda. The new office in Mozambique will offer advice on a range of services including savings, investments and retirement planning and benefit from the support of the wider deVere group.
