FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 10, 2009 -
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Shabby Apple, an online dress boutique (www.shabbyapple.com), announced its first "Dare to Design" contest, which offers the public a chance to design their dream dress. Shabby Apple will manufacture the winner's dress to be incorporated in their spring line and the winner will receive a three percent royalty on every dress sold of her or his design.

The contest begins September 10th and participators are asked to submit sketches, computer drawings or photographs of their design as well as ideas of fabric and colors and design inspiration.

"This contest allows anyone who has ever wanted to design, the chance to design," Emily McCormick, owner of Shabby Apple said. "For the Dare to Design contest, it's not necessary to be a professional clothing designer nor to have design experience. Sometimes the greatest pieces come from day-to-day inspirations by people who wear Shabby Apple."

Entries must be posted on a personal blog and submitted to Shabby Apple by November 3rd. The top 15 entrants will then be posted on the Shabby Apple blog (http://www.shabbyapple.com/blog/) and blog readers will be asked to vote on their favorite design.
