Award-Winning London DJs Give Wedding Music a Shake-up in Australia

Traditionally, wedding music, like "The Mullet” has been seriously uncool and wedding reception music has actually been the realm of some of the worst music ever composed by mankind. Cool wedding music is not the most difficult thing to conceive but very hard to find. With this in mind, Sushi Beats decided it was time to give wedding music a makeover and set out to revolutionise both wedding background music and wedding party music.


They devised two ways of doing this: launching the WeddingPod for iPod-based wedding receptions and finding DJs that break the stale, cheesy mould.   First came their “WeddingPod” where music experts conduct an in-depth consultation with the bride and groom to profile the music requirements for the night then the DJs design and mix an appropriate iPod playlist. The result is a professionally mixed DJ set that ensures the dance floor is filled from beginning to end.  Perfect for smaller weddings or weddings in exotic locations where quality local DJs might be hard to find.  Prices for the “WeddingPod” start from $495 which includes the consultation, design process and mixing.  Sushi Beats can also assist with music selection for ceremonies and background music for receptions.
