Hailing from the small city of Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada, site creator Jon Mushey has created a site like you've never seen before. Imagine a place where you could see thousands of pictures (more than 5,000) not on separate pages but on a single page, each with it's own pop-up image. The idea is to sell each picture on the site to an advertiser.
Sensing that this could be the start of an internet trend, Jon created his site to showcase how effective advertising could be through this new medium. Essentially, when a small picture is sold the picture and its pop-up are converted to color and a link is attached. The effect on one page is truly striking but the applications of this to web site advertising in general could be huge. Sites all over the internet could start creating individual rows and columns of tiny picture ads and using them to surround content. The small pictures draw your eye to them and the pop-ups intrigue you further, making you want to click the picture.
