“Sleep Better at Night: Expert Financial, Business and Legal Solutions for Canadian and American Expats” will offer business formation, financial planning, investment management, and individual and estate tax planning advice from accounting, legal and investment professionals from the U.S. and Canada.
Sponsored by the Canada-America Society of Washington (CAS), the panel presentation will take place Thursday, Sept. 17, from 4-6 p.m. at the offices of Lane Powell PC, 1420 Fifth Ave., 42nd floor, Seattle.
Panelists include:
Gary Tober, attorney with Lane Powell PC in Seattle, Wash.;
Charles Rendina, attorney with Boughton Law Corp. in Vancouver, B.C.;
Paul Bains, managing director & portfolio manager of Pacifica Partners Capital Management in Vancouver, B.C.; and
Gail Kruk, certified general accountant with Larson Gross p.l.l.c. in Blaine, Wash.
Panelists will discuss such topics as minimizing personal income taxes, structuring estate planning, allocating and diversifying investment assets, and selecting the right corporate form for cross-border businesses. Attendees also will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with panelists to get specific questions answered.
