Engineering Express® is the brainstorm of a technologically-savvy, structural professional engineer, Frank Bennardo. Frank created this firm in 2003 with a vision to assist the consumer (homeowner/renter) with everyday questions about home improvement and how/why/when it relates to engineering – what to use, how to install, what guides to follow?  Since its inception, Engineering Express® has helped contractors, manufacturers, building departments, architects and other engineers with engineering design and presentation with smaller, yet high volume jobs that large engineering firms dispel for the high-end developments (stadiums, skyscrapers, shopping malls, office plazas, housing developments and commercial structures).  Engineering Express® was created to deliver this same high-quality work for smaller jobs by harnessing the power of the latest technology to form the next-generation approach to the most common needs of the engineering industry.  Think … the Home Depot of Engineering.

Engineering Express® is pioneering the problem-solving vision on which it was created through the form of “widgets” that you see on so many websites.  Our widgets can do so much more than calculate the number of calories to consume or the conversion of centimeters to feet, not to say that today’s technology now puts this information at any user’s fingertips at any time.  

EX® widgets can perform an engineering calculation in what used to take 20 minutes per calculation within 30 seconds with a 60-second tutorial on how to use the tool, and provide “what if” scenarios if the calculation is revised.  Only a professional within the industry can appreciate how much time is wasted if the hand-calculated results cannot meet building code or standards – for its back to the drawing board for another lengthy and time-consuming calculation.   EX® widgets can illustrate table interpolation with calculative results like never seen before in the engineering world and can be created for any industry!
