Spanish for Beginners cd-rom, by Maria Fernandez
Spanish Bookworld runs a Spanish language course which includes online lessons for beginners, downloadable podcasts and videocasts, ebooks, language learning articles, a members-only forum and children's lessons. The course author and podcast host is Maria Fernandez, the creator of the cd-rom.
This cd-rom is currently priced at $22 and the monthly subscription to the course costs $24.99. Spanish Bookworld does not charge a registration fee and members can unsubscribe at any point without penalties.
The cd-rom on offer contains 99 lessons and over 200 drills, a talking Spanish-English dictionary and a Spanish pronunciation guide, all of them recorded by native Spanish speakers. The drills include speaking, listening, reading and writing exercises. The speaking drills in the cd-rom allow students to record themselves and check their accents.
This cd-rom was published by the Spanish Bookworld parent company, is fully interactive and provides a personal notepad where students can type in their queries and save them. Their queries can then be answered by an experienced native Spanish teacher through the members-only Spanish Bookworld forum.
