Longest And Hardest19th In The World

Become the most extreme golfer in the world and hit a hole in one on the world’s longest and hardest par 3.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 10, 2009 -
Zipped up the side of a mountain in a helicopter, dropped off to play four balls, then whisked back down the 1,400 feet again to finish your play, takes golf into a totally new dimension.

Legends Golf and Safari Resort, provides the world’s highest and longest par 3 on the planet. This recently opened course is located in the Entabeni Safari Conservance, in South Africa.

Each of the 18 holes of the Legends Golf course are designed to be a mini-masterpiece of challenge and reward. The 18 top-flight golfers who designed the course, include such names as Trevor Immelmman, Robert Allenby, Colin Montgomerie and KJ. Choi.

However, the Xtreme 19th hole, is the most challenging of all. The tee is set high on top of Hanglip Mountain, while far beneath lies the green, carved as a map of Africa.

It takes a helicopter ride to reach the tee box and then you have to walk the 630 yards to the pin. It takes 30 seconds for the ball to hit the ground, having dropped a quarter of a mile, once you have teed off.

Should you manage to score a hole-in-one you have the right to call yourself the most Xtreme golfer on earth and you win a million dollars as reward.
You can chose to play the Xtreme 19th as a stand-alone hole, without having to play a full-round game.

To play the four ball Xtreme 19th alone costs around US$800. If you do choose to go the whole 19 holes, the cost is around $220 U.S., which includes the helicopter ride, plus a heap of souvenirs and a DVD of your attempt at the hardest shot in the world.

The Xtreme 19th will serve as the play-off hole for any tournaments played at the Legends Golf and Safari Resort.

Up until now, no one has come even close to walking away with the million dollars.
