B.F. Environmental Consultants is announcing the release of the Water System and Wastewater System Operators Online Training Program. This program includes 15 online training courses in water and wastewater treatment and analysis, hazardous / industrial waste management, stormwater management, waste management, water distribution, landfill design, and permitting. The Waste Management Course series provides a cost-effective way to start or advance a career or to obtain continuing education credits. Because of the distance learning aspect to the program, the student has access to the site via a web-based interface. The courses have been package to provide continuing education units ranging from 0.5 to over 6.0 hours.
The Water Treatment Technology courses cover regulatory monitoring, iron and manganese removal, filtration, coagulation, flocculation, fluoridation, disinfection, reservoir management, taste and odor control, corrosion management, softening, demineralization, sludge management, and trihalomethanes control. The Wastewater Treatment Series includes training in water pollution control, preliminary and primary treatment, fixed film processes, suspended growth systems, activated sludge process control, sludge digestion and solids handling, nitrogen and phosphorous removal, and odor control.
