Stockport’s Pitman Training Centre is running an open week where people interested in seeing whether on-demand flexible training is right for them for FREE with a 30 minute course taster.
Pitman Training, has been providing office skills and training since Sir Issac Pitman launched his world famous shorthand method in 1837. Stockport’s Pitman Centre has been providing flexible training for over 14 years and this September the Stockport Centre is being re-launched with an enhanced range of courses under the new management of Karen Pennington.
Karen Pennington the new Centre Manager for Pitman Training Stockport said, “Pitman Training Courses and Diplomas gives everyone an opportunity to learn new skills and their improve career prospects.”
Students, whether they are employed or unemployed, can choose from a range of courses and that include one to two-day business skills seminars, short courses in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher), typing, book-keeping and health and safety. Students are also able to study for professionally recognised Diplomas for example Personal Assistant, Legal and Medical Secretarial Financial.
Karen says “returning to education can be a daunting prospect which is why the Stockport Centre has been modernised to better reflect a flexible office environment where students can work quietly at their own pace with the help of a dedicated support team to achieve the skills they need.
