“The estate vineyard is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication to our unique site but at the same time is also just the beginning of a new journey,” explains Mark McWilliams, Owner, Arista Winery. “My family is firmly committed to growing and producing world class Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. The tasting room experience gives our fans a firsthand opportunity to taste and see what makes Arista unique, but staying engaged with them once they’ve returned home has been the challenge. Through social media, we can stay more closely connected with our fans and provide them with unique, behind the scenes access to the winemaking and grape growing process. Now, our followers can visit our tasting room then continue that direct interaction from a couch in Chicago or a subway in Sydney.”
Arista is excited about inviting their fans into this process to see every stage in the creation of this limited production estate wine. Twitter and Facebook will be the predominant sites for disseminating information, documenting the estate harvest, hearing from enthusiasts, and sharing stories from the people who come to Arista to participate in the different parts of this journey. Fans and followers will receive access to special events related to this estate harvest. To help guide this year-long journey from vine to bottle, Arista has tapped veteran wine blogger and social media junkie, Alan Baker (@cellarrat)
