Midsummer Place Shopping Centre hosts the first

Sept. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- Milton Keynes is the location for the first of a series of community safety days to be run by Partnership Against Crime and Life Skills for Children. Specialist in the field of personal and community safety will provide interactive presentations, demonstrations and expert advice on how to increase the safety of Milton Keynes residents.
The Life Skills for Children group will be running interactive workshops for local children to participate in some practical and fun skills to increase their personal safety. Other groups presenting at the event will include UKPST who will be providing some practical demonstrations in personal safety, PAC who will be giving some expert advice on how to reduce the chance of becoming a victim to crime and the St John’s Ambulance service who will be providing practical life saving advice.
Gail Buckland from Partnership Against Crime said “ The event is designed to educate local people in some simple and practical skills to increase their personal safety and reduce the chance of them becoming a victim of crime. We are very pleased with the support we have received for the event from groups including the Police, Fire service and local specialist groups”
The event is the first of several that will bring specialist support and advice straight to the people of Milton Keynes and will demonstration that increasing your safety can be very simple.
The event takes place at the Midsummer Place Shopping Centre on Saturday 10th October
