BigFire Camping Gear, an online retailer of camping gear, recently began offering the high-end backpack manufacturer Vaude as part of the backpack lines it carries.
The company has begun selling a number of Vaude backpacks including the Vaude Aracanda 30, Astra 55, Vaude Basic Rock 30, Vaude Crystal Rock 30, Vaude Magic Rock 35, Vaude Rescue Pack, and Vaude Tec Rock 32.
Vaude, a German company founded in 1974, is among Europe’s leading mountain sports brands. VAUDE products are sold throughout the world. According to the company's website, it "stands for mountain sports excellence, innovation and environmental and social responsibility. "
In addition to backpacks, Vaude makes other items including performance apparel, shoes, tents, sleeping bags, panniers and accessories.
The Vaude Aracanda 30 was awarded Best of Gear by National Geographic Adventure magazine in 2008.
