Clay Crosse New Cd Release - Anthems

Sept. 5, 2009 - PRLog -- Four-time Dove Award winner, Clay Crosse returns with his first studio offering in seven years, “Anthems.”   Over those years, he released a live worship CD, (“Eternity With You”) and a greatest hits project, (“Simply Clay Crosse”), but nothing recorded new, in studio.  Now, with the much anticipated, “Anthems” Clay returns to his early days of power ballads and church standards.

    “These are songs that I look forward to singing with choirs and orchestras the places where I travel.” Clay says.  He explains that for several years he had lost some of the control of his singing voice and that this new CD is proof that his voice has been restored. “I stand very thankful for what God has shown me through the struggles I experienced with my singing voice.  I know that He had a plan all along to move me to a closer relationship with Him.  During those years I would tell Him if he ever healed my voice, that I would shout it from the rooftops.  With this new CD I am doing just that, because I feel as strong as ever now vocally.”

   One listen to “Anthems” confirms that Clay’s voice is as strong as ever and even seems to soar to new heights with powerful renderings of songs such as “Revelation Song,” “The End Of The Beginning,” “The Majesty and Glory Of  Your Name,’ and Clay’s powerful version of Brooks and Dunn’s “Believe.”

  “This new project has ‘chills on the back of your neck’ type songs.” Clay explains.  “Even to the point that I experience those chills as I sing them.  Truly, God speaks to me through them and I pray that he continues to use them, and me, for His glory.”
