09.09.09 Vertical Epic Release Party at 99 Bottles

99 Bottles, a specialty beer store in Federal Way, Wash., is celebrating the release of 09.09.09 Vertical Epic from the Stone Brewing Company.

As with any good epic, with Vertical Epic lies the promise of larger-than-life experiences, heroics and “twists & turns” as the adventure unfolds. Vertical Epic is a series of bottle-conditioned ales specifically designed to be cellared until after the final series release on 12.12.12—if you can wait that long. After December 12th, 2012, serve the series in a “vertical” tasting, where different vintage beers from the same brewery are served in a single sitting. With the vertical, you enjoy each “twist & turn” in the plotline.

The Stone Brewing Co. first released the Vertical Epic series in 02.02.02. Each beer in the series is released one year, one month and one day from the previous year's edition.

Celebrate the release of 09.09.09 Vertical Epic at 99 Bottles on Wednesday, September 9th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The cost is just $2.50 to sample 09.09.09, Imperial Russian Stout, Arrogant Bastard Ale, and several other beers from this irreverent brewery. Jeff Porter of Stone Brewing Company will be present to share information about the beers, and each tasting participant will be entered to win Stone merchandise that will be raffled during the event. Participants must be 21+ years, with valid ID, to sample the beers.
