Cinespace and Optoma Technology, Inc., have teamed to make high-definition screenings a reality for up-and-coming filmmakers. The Optoma HD Theater at Cinespace delivers brilliant hi-def resolution to the already bustling film hub and solidifies Cinespace as the premier indie screening facility in Hollywood.
In exchange for the theater’s naming rights Cinespace will receive three high-end projectors, including Optoma’s TX1080 model. For Cinespace owner Kimberly Roussel the partnership was more than just an HD solution for the ever-changing industry.

While Cinespace is known for large-scale premieres and big-name events, Roussel insists its ties to the indie community and reasonable screening rates are major factors in her venue’s success.
“When we started Cinespace the goal was to create an exciting place for filmmakers to converge and share ideas,” Roussel said. “Eight years later, those early filmmakers have risen to the top of the industry and are still screening with us.”
Roussel sees The Optoma HD Theater as a great way to welcome the next wave of talented artists to Cinespace.
